The Radnor Hunt Races celebrated its 93rd Anniversary on Saturday May 18, 2024 during the spring tradition of steeplechasing at the Radnor Hunt. Six exciting races featured horses galloping over hurdles and timber fences for purses. Attendees enjoyed tailgate picnics with friends and family while helping to win the race for open space.  All event proceeds benefit the open space and clean water programs of the Brandywine Conservancy—the sole beneficiary of the Races for the last 44 years.

1. This year’s tailgate competition theme was “Under the Sea”.  Missy Schwartz, family and friends, brought Bubbles Up”  to the event!

2. Ryan Barbacane, Sean Powell and Ben Wolf   dressed for the ”Under the Sea” theme!

3. Vicki and Lance McCue loved the tailgate theme, all fishy and bubbly!

4. Tobey Ross, Mary Sun, John Hill and Brad Kling weathered the rainy day at the Radnor Races!

5. Zach Hurst and Emily Thomas loved the event!

6.  Harley and Julia Smith and Michelle and Christopher Amman found shelter under this large umbrella!

7. Jennifer Lynn Robinson and Nina Castello came prepared for the weather!

8. Philip Sacturro, Albert Oehrle, Rich Walkup and Matthew McGovern got ready to sing with Orpheus Club of Philadelphia

9. Zoya Egan chaired the ladies day fashion competition

10. Diane Oliva  pictured with her husband Jose, served as one of the fashion competition judges. Zoya Egan created the lovely chapeau she wore to the event!

11. Bob Schena and his company ”Rajant ” were an event sponsor.  He arrived at the event with Annalisa Delcane 

12. Elsa, Sienna, Anthony and Tricia Kee and Andrea Disbro saw the races from the tailgate fence! 

13. Gizzy and Alicia O’Toole and their children Starlyn and Luxor enjoyed a day at the races!
