Philadelphia Ballet celebrates its 60th Anniversary
On Friday, October 25, 2024 Philadelphia Ballet celebrated an important milestone with their 60th Anniversary Gala performance and dinner. It was an evening that celebrated and honored the company’s past, present, and future. This one-night only event was chaired by Philadelphia Ballet Trustees, Sarah Marshall and Lloyd Freeman. Funds raised at the Gala support Philadelphia Ballet’s work both onstage and in the community.
Angel Corella, The Ruth and A. Morris Williams, Jr. Artistic Director, created a spectacular program of ballet excerpts that showcased the artists of Philadelphia Ballet, Philadelphia Ballet II, School of Philadelphia Ballet, and Philadelphia Ballet Orchestra led by Beatrice Jona Affron, The Louise and Alan Reed Music Director. This ‘one-night only’ performance was preceded by a cocktail reception at the Academy of Music, followed by a post-performance celebratory dinner held in Lincoln Hall at the historic Union League.
