On Monday, September 30, 2024, the Global Philadelphia Association unveiled SDG # 15: Life on Land, at the Chestnut Hill College Campus. The mural by was created by Nile Livingston and was sponsored by TD Bank and Chestnut Hill College. The Friends of the Wissahickon were rewarded with a $3,000 community grant. Sustainable Development Goal (SDG #15) aims to protect, restore and promote sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems, sustainably manage forests, combat desertification, and halt and reverse land degradation and halt biodiversity loss. This mural is the 15th in a series of 17 celebrating the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

The Global Philadelphia Association is a nonprofit dedicated to promoting Philadelphia as an influential World Heritage City and as a vital, diverse center for global affairs.

6. The check presentation followed remarks by officials representing Global Philadelphia, artist Nile Livingston, Chestnut Hill College, Friends of the Wissahickon, TD Bank, Sisters of Saint Joseph and the Philadelphia City Office
7. Sarah Marley attended the event with Friends of the Wissahickon Executive Director Ruffian Tittman. Friends of the Wissahickon is an official park partner of Philadelphia Parks and Recreation and the Philadelphia Water Department. It conserves and improves the 2000-acre Wissahickon Valley Park and FOW’s dedicated community of members and volunteers have supported the wild beauty of the park since 1924.

9 Nile Livingston is a public-facing artist deeply connected to Black and Brown communities. She focuses on creating accessible art that reflects the people and places she engages with. Nile created the mural now installed on the Chestnut Hill College Campus
