FamilyMatters Hosts The Love Event at 118 North in Wayne/Genx Date Night Rock Band Benefit Event
1. FamilyMatters hosted The Love Event: A pre-Valentine’s benefit concert with Huge In Europe, local cover band of GenX parents who support FamilyMatters. Event Chairs, Missy Gvodofsky, Dayna Benn and Dara Goldsein paused for a photo at the event
2. Huge In Europe’s musical repertoire spans the iconic eras of their youth, covering the timeless classics as well as the unforgettable gems from the ’80s, ’90s, and 2000s. The unique fundraiser invited FamilyMatters’ GenX supporters for a pre-Valentine’s date night to support the charity.
3. FamilyMatters helps families deal with, and heal from, a wide range of challenges. From mental health issues and substance abuse, to divorce and custody issues, to single parenthood, kinship care, and families who have children with special need, the organization helps Philadelphia families in crisis situations navigate care and support.
4 FamilyMatters is the first expansion office of JAFCO (Jewish Adoption and Family Care Options) a non-profit organization established in 1992 in South Florida, in April 2014.
5. In addition to family strengthening support services, the office also offers supervised visitation, support groups for siblings of children with developmental disabilities, a parent and relative caregiver program, and child enrichment programs.

To date, 872 children are safer as a result of the free, specialized, One hundred percent of referrals are responded to immediately, free of charge, and children and families are served for as long as needed. There was a 20 percent increase in children and families served this past year by FamilyMatters while it is preparing to expand. 7. FamilyMatters immediately serves anyone who reaches out for help 24/7 and provides support, at no cost, for as long as necessary. FamilyMatters serves all families without regard to race, color, national origin, or religion—the only requirement is that there is a child in the home who needs support.
